All the working staff of laquintinie hospital were this morning relieved from duty in the premises of that health instittion. Reason being that they allowed a 31 year old PREGNANT woman with TWINS to die in cold blood for lacking money to pay for a surgical delivery. She was forced out of the hospital and her helpless body was thrown in the veranda of the hospital. The niece of the victim (not a medical practitioner) resorted to conduct the surgery herself with the help of a razor blade in order to save the lives of the twins in the womb of their dying mother. The victim dies and the twins also die minutes later.

- The hospital has been noted for non-treatment of patients who are poor and lack money to pay for health services, many Cameroonians have died under similar circumstances in that and other hospitals in the country. The case of Monique is not the first, but is most likely to be the last. To be fore-warned is to be fore-armed.
