Meet The World's Shortest Couple

The world's shortest couple - who both measure less then three feet tall - have proved that size doesn't matter when it comes to love. Paulo Gabriel da Silva Barros and Katyucia Hoshino, from Brazil, both have forms of dwarfism and stand at 34.8in and 35.2in respectively.
The pair, who hope to enter the Guinness Book of World Records, said they met on a social media website ten years ago and started chatting on MSN Messenger.

Paulo, 30, who has a rare genetic condition called diastrophic dysplasia dwarfism, said it was love at first sight for him.

'I found her very beautiful from the first moment I saw her,' he said

But the attraction wasn't mutual. Katyucia, 26, who has achondroplasia dwarfism, which affects bone growth, initially blocked him on the instant messaging site.

She said: 'The first time I started talking to Paulo, he was really annoying. He had cheap-pick up lines.'

Paulo, who works as a legal secretary, said:

'She thought I was trying to flirt but I was just being nice. According to her I was a really boring guy.'

That would have been the end of the matter, if Katyucia hadn't suddenly decided to unblock him 18 months later.

Katyucia, who now owns her own beauty salon that has been specially adapted for her size, said:

'One day something happened in my head and I went and unblocked him. By then he was already more relatable.'

Paulo said:

'When she unblocked me, it didn't take me more than a minute to say hello. we started speaking and she said I was more civilised.'

Two months later, Paulo travelled more than 186 milies to Katyucia's home city of Londrina to meet her.He said he was bowled over by Katyucia's beauty, but she was shy and unimpressed with his dress sense.

Paulo said: 'What most attracted me to her, besides her beauty, was how sweet she was. It was her sweet personality.'

The beautician said:

'He was wearing an orange shirt, jeans and sunglasses - thank God it has improved since then.'

Despite Katyucia's concerns about the long distance between them, five days later the pair started dating and after four years they moved in together.

Katyucia said: 'I had never dated before so Paulo is my first boyfriend, my first everything.'

Now they say they're are like any other couple. Paulo has a specially-adapted car to enable him to drive, while Katyucia's beauty salon has been specially modified for her height.

Paulo, who has ambitions to run for mayor in his home town of Itapeva, said: 'Basically, we are a normal couple but our height is a little smaller.

'The best thing about our relationship is our closeness, our companionship we have for each other.

Brenda Biya Summoned Before California Court for threatening her mother, Chantal Biya with a Knife

Brenda Biya, daughter of President Biya and first lady Chantal of Cameroon, has been summoned before a California judge on June 1 over acts of violence in her Los Angelos apartment.

The incident which led to Police being called to the scene was provoked by the impromptu visit of First Lady Chantal Biya upon learning the daughter was fast acting as a deviant in Los Angelos. She had flown into California from Cameroon on hearing of the daughter’s heavy indulgement in drugs.

Chantal who came with instructions from President Biya to get Brenda out of California and the United States. But upon getting the news from the mother, Brenda didn’t only fiercely resist the idea of leaving the country. She took to the rampage and began breaking up things in the apartment to demonstrate her disapproval of the plan.

Brenda then resorted to a knife, leaving Chantal feeling threatened. Chantal allegedly called for help. But before the help could come, neighbors who could hear the commotion in Brenda’s apartment, called the Los Angelos cops and they caught her still toting the knife.

In the United States, wielding a knife in a threatening way is a felony and could earn Brenda some jail time if convicted.

she and the mother left the U.S right after the Police intervention and she shall only be represented in court on the June 1 hearing by a lawyer. She and the mother flew to Geneva after the incident. President Biya is expected to meet them in Geneva one of these days for the family to sort out the situation

Things reached the apex last week just before the national day celebration (20th May) and the mother was conspicuously absent from the event enroute to California after Brenda’s latest feat involving drugs.

Cameroonian Prostitute Suffocates to Death In Bordeaux-France

Last Saturday the body of a Cameroonian woman named Nyangono Thecla, 51, was found in advanced state of decomposition last Saturday in a van parked near the Saint Jean train station in Bordeaux. According new reports, she was offering sexual services illegally in her mobile van close to the railway station.

French Police think the backup heater she was using , located in the cockpit, could have produced too much carbon monoxide which she inhaled and suffocated. Thecla had been missing for close to 15 days. Her relatives became worried about her absence and alerted the police which led to the discovery of her decomposing body.

Prosecutors in Bordeaux had ordered an autopsy to determine the exact cause and date of death.

CAMEROON: US CONVOY KILLS A 7 YEAR OLD BOY

The motorcade carrying the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Powers, struck and killed a 7-year-old boy in northern Cameroon today, U.S. officials said.

The boy darted out into the road when he was struck by an armored vehicle carrying U.S. officials.
He was apparently distracted by the helicopter flying over the convoy that was offering close aerial support, a U.S. official said.

Power confirmed that the Cameroonian boy died of his injuries shortly after being hit. A spokesman for the ambassador said she was “devastated” to learn of the incident.
“We visited with the boy’s family to offer our profound condolences and to express our grief and heartbreak with what the family is going through,” Power said in a statement.
The ambassador’s delegation was accompanied by a number of journalists, including ABC News’ Juju Chang.

Neither Power nor the journalists were in the car that struck the young boy.
The cars were traveling around 43 mph, a U.S. official said.
Power is in Cameroon to kick off a week-long trip focused on the war against the militant group Boko Haram that will also include stops in Chad and Nigeria.

After the accident, ABC News followed Power to a refugee camp where she met a girl who escaped after being forced married to a Boko Haram fighter.
While meeting with the girl, the ambassador became emotional.
“You’re a 14-year-old girl in your village, these guys show up and say, ‘Hey, I have a choice for you. I am going to kill you or you can marry me.’ The quadruply sad part of it is — it’s clear she thinks she made a choice, that wasn’t a choice,” she said, getting choked up.

Today’s accident happened at a time when the delegation that took pains to draw attention to the horrors inflicted on children facing violence from Boko Haram.

The ambassador’s trip also comes on the heels of the second anniversary of the Chibok girls’ kidnapping.
Last week, UNICEF released a chilling report saying the abducted schoolgirls are being used with lethal effectiveness as suicide bombers.

There were 151 suicide attacks by Boko Haram in the region in 2015 alone, according to the report. One in five of those attacks were by children and 75 percent of them were conducted by girls.

This Man is sentenced to 200 years in prison for raping & urinating on a toddler

A former US Coast Guard who filmed himself raping and urinating on an 18-month-old girl in a motel has been sentenced up to 200 years in prison. During the sentencing hearing at The Kent County Circuit Court in Michigan on Thursday, Judge Mark Trusock told Eric Devin Master:
'You are truly an evil individual and we need to make sure that you are never allowed in society', Detroit Free Press reported
Devin Masters, 29, who was already sentenced to 50-years last month for making sexually explicit videos of children in five counties throughout the state, claimed he had an addiction to child pornography and said he had been a victim of abuse himself.

Masters, who pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, was accused of taking the toddler to a motel in 2012, where he tied her arms and legs to bedposts and raped her. He told the court he assaulted her three times over the course of eight days.

According to FBI reports, Masters filmed himself engaging in multiple sex acts with the toddler before urinating on her in a video that he emailed to others in exchange for more child pornography.

The girl's mother begged the judge to keep Masters locked up, testifying that her daughter is still traumatized at the age of five.

Masters apologized for the 'horrible crime' and told the court:
'Something horrible was done to me and number my emotions to others. 'And then I committed the same horrible thing to others. With God's help we can both be healed.'

Thousands march in Harare to protest against Robert Mugabe

Demonstration organised by opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai is biggest in years as Zimbabwe’s economic problems worsen
In one of the biggest protests seen in Zimbabwe in recent years, thousands of opposition supporters marched in the capital to denounce Robert Mugabe’s alleged misrule.

Alleged Mugabe cronies kept offshore firms years after UN alert raised
After sanctions were imposed, it took four years for all companies linked to John Bredenkamp to be shut down, Panama Papers show

Mostly wearing the red colours of the main opposition MDC-T party, marchers in Harare chanted songs denouncing the 92-year-old president, who recently said he had no plans to step down.

Such huge demonstrations are rare in Zimbabwe, where police routinely use force to break up opposition protests.

Police had initially banned Thursday’s march before a court overturned the ban. The opposition leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, who shared power with Mugabe for five years before losing disputed elections in 2013, organised the march.

Women with children strapped to their backs joined marchers carrying placards demanding that Mugabe step down. He has been in power since independence from white minority rule in 1980.

Some marchers carried banners reading “Old clueless Mugabe must go”. “Where is our $15bn dollars?” read one placard, in reference to recent statements by Mugabe that $15bn worth of diamonds had been looted in eastern Zimbabwe.

Morgan Tsvangirai addresses supporters in Harare.
Another placard read “Where are our 2.2m jobs?” referring to Mugabe’s 2013 election pledge to create jobs.

Zimbabwe is battling a worsening economic decline, highlighted by company closures and growing unemployment.

Mugabe has previously said he wouldn’t resign, adding that he would rule “until God says come”.

Student commits suicide in Douala

Hugues Christian Petchou Sah ran away after suffering the wrath of his parents because he stole FCFA 12 000.

Already two young people are dead through suicide in the space of one week in Douala. After the teenager who killed himself with his father’s gun a week ago, another young man chose to end his life early this week. The body of Hugues Christian Petchou Sah, 18-year-old was found in an advanced state of putrefaction on April 6, 2016.
He was found after three days of fierce searching, hung in a room in an abandoned house near his parent's house at a place called “Lele” in the Mboko neighbourhood, Douala III subdivision.

According to the Suelaba radio station, Fm 105 which reported the sad news, it was the smell emanating from the already decomposing body of the student in terminale (upper sixth in French) at Collège Educateurs, that alerted the neighbourhood.

The drama unfolds from April 3, 2016. Petchou Sah’s parents did not appreciate the fact that he stole FCFA 12 000 and express their anger against him. The student, dissatisfied, left the home. No one knew where he went to… The Regional Division of the Judicial Police for the Littoral noted the lifeless body before handing it to his family for burial.

Two teenage girls arrested for kidnapping a three year old

A 13 year old girl and her 14 year old friend have been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping a toddler from a city centre Primark store  and were taken in for questioning.
The three-year-old girl was with her mother in the store when she disappeared from the store in Newcastle city centre at around 5pm on Wednesday evening.
The Police were called in, search for the toddler started immediately, they wetn through the store’s CCTV and saw that she had left the store with two teenage girls she did not know.
Looking through all the available CCTVs from Newcastle City Council, local shops, Newcastle University, bus companies, the metro and their own cameras the little girl was eventually found nearly three miles away and over an hour later in Gosforth, north Newcastle, by a police officer.
Chief Inspector Dave Gould said:
"Thankfully the child was quickly located by officers and then reunited with her mother.
"This has been an incredibly distressing time for the girl's family and specialist officers are working with and supporting the family.
"We mobilised all available local police resources to make sure the girl was found as quickly as possible and also included assistance from the public, and many of our partner agencies including Newcastle local authority and university as well as staff from retail premises, bus companies, train station and metro system.
"I would like to thank all of those involved for their help in finding this little girl and helping reunite her with her mother.
"Our enquiries will now continue to establish the circumstances of what happened and speaking to the two teenage girls in custody regarding the incident."

Japan earthquake: 8-month-old baby pulled out alive from collapsed building

A video footage shows the moment an eight-month-old girl is pulled out alive from a collapsed building following a devastating earthquake in Japan. Rescue workers can be seen gently lifting the baby out of the rubble and then rushing her into a waiting ambulance and taken to hospital.

It was a moment of light relief for the country following the magnitude 6 tremor which killed at least nine people and injuring hundreds, local media said.
The tremor struck 7 miles east of the city of Kumamoto, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
There was no tsunami warning before the earthquake and at least one person was killed after being crushed by a collapsing building. More than 400 people were taken to the hospital.
About 44,400 people had also been evacuated and more than 100 aftershocks had been recorded since the quake, which struck shortly before 9.30 pm local time.

Meet the 13yrs Old little Indian 'god'

Mohammed Raihan is only 13 but his hirsute appearance belies his tender age. He suffers from Werewolf Syndrome, a rare genetic condition which causes his hands, legs, back and stomach to be covered in hair. He has however refused medical treatment because he believes it is a blessing from God despite the fact he gets a lot of name-calling from peers, they call him Hanuman after a Hindu monkey God.

Muhammed said:
"I am not bothered with such attention - some people laugh at me, others just come to me for a blessing. Sometime people would flock to my house from far-off villages to just have a glimpse of me. They think I am a god or have special powers, but this attention is okay because I know I look different."
The devout Muslim lost his dad ten months ago and lives with his mum and four siblings on the Island of Borneo. His mum Pardan, 45 said:

"He had more hair on his body than my elder son but I was not worried as every child is different. However my concern grew when the hair grew longer and thicker. His father and I were worried about the excessive hair growth and took him to several doctors but none could treat him. Some did offer laser surgery but it was beyond our financial capacity so we stopped."

Pardan has instead instilled confidence and faith in God in Muhammed.
 She says:
"He is a gift of God and we believe his appearance is the will of Allah. I have taught him to never complain about his condition but instead accept it with grace. And for Muhammed, who shares a room with his unaffected siblings, he feels blessed to have a distinct appearance and wishes to serve as a mosque cleric in thanks. I am blessed by God and this makes me happy. I am his favourite child and want to serve him my whole life. I don't want any medical treatment because I'm happy this way."

Ladies, Do You Suffer from Excrutiating Menstrual pains? OK.. So This is how to get Rid Of it Naturally

Menstrual cramps are caused by contractions in the uterus. During each menstrual period, if there is no sperm to fertilize the egg, the uterus contracts to expel its lining. This process is driven by the release of hormone-like substances called prostaglandins.

These uterine contractions cause much of the pain felt during menstrual cramps. The contractions inhibit blood flow to the lining of the uterus. If the uterus contracts too strongly, it can press against nearby blood vessels. This cuts off the supply of oxygen to the muscle tissue of the uterus. Pain results when part of a muscle briefly loses its supply of oxygen. (1, 2)

Here are some Conventional menstrual cramp remedies

Pain Medication

Do a quick search for “menstrual cramp remedies.” Go ahead, I’ll wait. I bet you found lots of articles telling you to take ibuprofen at the first sign of menstrual discomfort. I personally try to avoid ibuprofen and most over-the-counter pain relief medications. They should be a last resort to dealing with pain, and preferably not a monthly addition to your diet.

Why? Well, without going into too much detail, ibuprofen can cause bad side effects in your digestive system, nervous system, and cardiovascular system. Um… that’s a lot of systems! (And pretty essential ones at that.) Learn more here.

Hormonal Birth Control

Another common suggestion for menstrual cramp remedies and heavy bleeding is to take birth control pills. This makes sense on some level since the latest research suggests that cramps and other menstrual issues start with hormonal imbalances. However, birth control pills are synthetic hormones. They override the normal hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian hormonal axis to prevent ovulation. In other words: very unnatural.

Just look at the list of side effects that comes with each package of pills. How safe do they seem now? I know from personal experience that birth control pills were bad. I had some scary reactions that got me to swear off of them for good. But even without immediate reactions, long term use of hormonal birth control leaves individuals wide open for potentially major problems including infertility, cancer, stroke, blood clots, etc. (3)

The belief that birth control pills are safe comes from more than 40 years of continuous brainwashing by the pharmaceutical industry to both physicians and the public. We are victims of misinformation and dangerous practices. – Erika Schwartz, MD
This is why I try and avoid “conventional” approaches to remedy menstrual cramps. They may take away the pain, but at what cost? I understand that those who suffer from intense menstrual cramps are desperate for relief. But please consider the long term affects before sipping down another pill.

Natural menstrual cramp remedies

On the “much safer” spectrum of common menstrual cramp remedies are things that ultimately help bring oxygen to the muscles. This is good since cramp pain is due to intense contractions that temporarily cut off oxygen to the surrounding muscles.

The most common natural remedies include:

Exercising
Heating pad (like this… relaxes the muscles which bring oxygen to them)
Acupuncture
Abdominal massage
Warm  baths
Yoga
Adequate sleep
These are definitely great things to try for immediate cramp relief if you are in the middle of a painful cycle. They are true “all natural” menstrual cramp remedies. My kind of stuff.

But instead of just finding cramp remedies or relief, wouldn’t you like to STOP your menstrual cramps for good so you don’t need to worry about remedies?

I thought so too. click here Look For Just More than a Remedy Below.

France Sends Delegation to Yaoundé to Resuscitate Dying CFA Franc

As Finance Ministers of the 16 French African countries meet in Yaoundé to tackle the challenges faced by the Franc CFA, France has sent a high power delegation to attend the meeting in a bid to resuscitate the currency that is fast becoming unpopular amongst the impoverished African population.

The delegation that paid a visit to President Paul Biya, Friday, April 8, was made up of French Minister of Finance and Public Accounts, Michel Sapin, the Director General of French Treasury, Bruno Bezard and a host of collaborators. They were accompanied by the French Ambassador to Cameroon, Christine Robichon.

Member countries of the CFA zone are meeting with the author of the currency, France, including other partners in this economic domination like the World Bank. Delegates are discussing on other sources of financing as oil that used to be the main source of income for these countries is at its lowest price at the world market.

The CFA is also facing challenges coming from nationals of these member countries who see the currency as the means by which France stifles and manipulate their economic growth to her benefit. Even though these countries like many other African countries have witnessed economic growth, it is yet to trickle down to the local population. In this wise, just like popular Cameroonian Musician, Longue Longue sang in his award winning song Ayo Africa that Afrika di work Europa di chop, there is a strong belief that these economic growths go to the benefit of France.

This is compounded by the fact that the foreign reserves of these countries are stock in the French Treasury to the tune of 65%. A country like Cameroon does not have a Central Bank of its own like what transpires in Ghana and neighbouring Nigeria. BEAC with headquarters in Yaoundé merely serves as an extension of the French Treasury.

The greatest challenge to the existence of the CFA Franc is coming from West Africa where the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is already considering a common currency for the sub region, meaning upon adoption of a common currency, the French inspired currency will be scrapped.

Moreover, CFA Franc countries are the least developed in Africa coupled with conflicts especially conflicts linked to Presidential succession. Some of these countries include Chad and Congo where the constitutions have been changed to eternalize the Presidents. Burkina Faso just chased its President for attempting to modify the constitution for selfish aims. Some opposition leaders of these countries have even suggested that they will withdraw their countries participation from it once they are in power. This was the campaign message of candidate Fru Ndi in the 2004 Presidential election in Cameroon.

It is now almost certain that there will be a new captain to lead the Indomitable Lions when they face Mauritania in their 5th 2017 Africa cup of nations qualifier game on June 4th.

The Cameroon Journal has reliably been told that current captain, Stéphane Mbia Etoundi, who has served in that capacity for only two years, is on the verge of losing his place to veteran keeper, Idriss Carlos Kameni.

Kameni has been a long serving member of the current generation of players of the national team and is in superlative form in his Spanish club, Malaga.

Just like was the case with former captain, Samuel Eto’o, Mbia has been tagged by many as “stubborn”  and recent reports have placed responsibility for fresh troubles emerging in the Lions’ den squarely at his door steps.

The Cameroon Journal gathered that Mbia’s arrogance came to the fore last month during the second leg of the double header with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, in Durban, as the defender virtually put himself on collision course with new head coach, Hugo Broos.

An inside source, told us that Mbia further compounded his fate as Lions skipper, when he scolded at Broos in the dressing room after one of their training sessions, questioning why the coach preferred to settle on younger players for the March 29 game while the “big boys” were left on the bench.

Broos is said not to have spoken back at Mbia. But Sports and Physical Education Minister, Bidoung Mkpatt, as well as FECAFOOT president, Tombi a Roko, are said to have taken turns in an emergency meeting in Durban to chastise Mbia for his attitude. “This match is about the image of Cameroon, and not Mbia,” Bidoung, known for his tough talk, reportedly thundered at the 29-year.

Cameroon plays Mauritania on June 4th and it is strongly held within football circles that the Yaounde-born player may not be the one to lead the squad because of his poor conduct in the last outing.

“I am certain that Mbia will be replaced any time soon…a captain must be exemplary and must not be the one to talk at the coach,” a FECAFOOT official who feared being named, told The Cameroon Journal, when quizzed on the matter.

It would be recalled that Mbia was appointed Lions’ captain just weeks after the 2014 FIFA World Cup in which Cameroon put up a disastrous performance. The appointment by the then Sports Minister, Adoum Garoua, was part of plans to flush out trouble makers from the squad. Eric Choupo-Moting and Vincent Aboubakar were named as his 1st and 2nd deputies, respectively.

Less than six months later, the first “scandal” occurred. Mbia was first accused of imposing his brother, Frank Etoundi, to the national team, at the expense of more performing players at the time.

During the 2015 Africa cup of nations, Mbia was again in the press for another controversy. This time, the former Marseille defender was alleged to have convinced Volker Finke to keep the young sensation, Clinton Njie, on the sidelines – a move that provoked outrage from Lions’ fans. Such claims later turned out to be true, as Njie himself was reported to have told close friends that he was left out of play because he had a fracas with Mbia who vowed to punish him.

Mbia’s troubles would not end there. In August 2015, while he just signed with Trabzonspor, he immersed himself in controversy when he evacuated his family to Turkey, claiming that they were not safe in Yaounde, citing the Boko Haram insurgency. This portrayed Cameroon’s anti-terrorism efforts in very bad light and he was heavily-criticised by many for such claims.
